Effective September 21, 2026
This is the events calendar from The Squeeze SWFL, a weekly newsletter about Southwest Florida. This page explains, in plain language, what this calendar collects and what it does with it. In short: you can browse without giving us anything, and we only keep personal details you choose to send us.
Browsing the calendar
You don't need an account, and we don't use cookies to follow you around. We keep simple, anonymous counts of how often an event, venue or host page is opened and how often its links are clicked (for example, "this event's link was clicked 12 times on Tuesday"). We use them to see which listings are useful and to tell hosts how their events are doing. These counts contain no IP address, device ID or anything else that says who you are, and they aren't combined with anything else.
If your browser sends a "Do Not Track" or "Global Privacy Control" signal, we don't count your visit at all.
If you submit an event or a tip
The forms ask for your name and email, plus the details of the event or tip you're sending, and optionally an image. We use them to review the submission, publish the listing, and contact you if we have questions about it. Your name and email are never shown on the site. If you tick the box about additional promotion, we may follow up with you about it separately.
Only send an image you own or have permission to share. We keep submissions for as long as we need them to run the calendar, and we'll delete yours if you ask.
Maps and directions
The map pages load Google Maps. When they do, Google receives standard details from your browser, such as your IP address, as described in Google's privacy policy. "Get directions" links open Google Maps in a new tab. We can't see what you do there.
Links to other sites
Events, venues and hosts link to their own websites and social pages. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we don't control.
The newsletter
Signing up for the newsletter happens on thesqueezeswfl.com, which uses Beehiiv. That sign-up is covered by Beehiiv's privacy policy, not this page. This calendar doesn't collect newsletter subscriptions.
Who handles the data
The calendar runs on a hosting service (Vercel) and stores its data with a database service (Convex). Like any website, they process technical information such as IP addresses to deliver pages and keep the site secure. We don't sell your information or use it for advertising.
Children
This calendar is for a general audience and isn't aimed at children under 13.
Your choices and contacting us
You can ask us what we hold about you, or to correct or delete it, by getting in touch through thesqueezeswfl.com. We'll update this page if we change how we handle information, and the date at the top will change with it.
